Our Vision
Vision and Mission for Bingley Community Kitchen
The vision for Bingley Community Kitchen is to develop a healthier, more food secure community.
Our mission is to help children, families and the elderly and those with disabilities within our community to eat well through the provision of a social supermarket, weekly recipes for customers to cook at home and more recently with cookery lessons.
The core values are the foundation of everything we will do and achieve as a Charity Incorporated Organisation. They are:

The number of attendees at the Social Supermarket has grown as the cost-of- living crisis continues to impact on families, people with disabilities and pensioners across our community. All customers attending are required to demonstrate they meet the charitable purposes:
customers live in the Bingley and Bingley rural wards
families whose children attend Bingley Schools
customers must be in receipt of welfare benefits
Our Aims
To alleviate poverty and financial hardship of children, families and the elderly within Bingley which is in Bradford District by providing goods and services they could not otherwise afford.
To improve through educational opportunities the health and wellbeing of the children and families by responding to their ongoing identified needs.
Public Benefit Statement
in line with the guidance provided by the Charity Commission, Bingley Community kitchen is required to demonstrate that our aims are to the “public benefit”. the Trustees confirm that all of our clients , volunteers and the wider community benefit from a combination of one of more of the following purposes
- the prevention of relief of poverty
- the advancement of education
- community development through the relief of those in need by reason of youth, age ill health disability, financial hardship or other disadvantages.
