Easter and beyond

A huge thank you to our volunteers who helped over the very busy Easter period.

Special thanks to the Sheena and her All Together Choir for donating Easter Eggs for packing and delivering our Easter parcels.

Thank you also to Andrew at TinkPak for the donation of boxes of biscuits and bags of shopping.

We have recently been providing our home grown, organic produce to members with many thanks to our green fingered BCK gardening team.

As you can see there will be beans and cabbages later in the year.

BCK Weekly Social Market Stall

At BCK, customers are welcomed with a smile and for their weekly membership fee of £5 can select 15 items of food, this increases for larger families of 5 or more. they can select fresh, frozen and store cupboard items available. BCK provides free fruit, free vegetables and a slow cooker recipe with all the ingredients to make at home.

As customer can make their own decision and choices, they feel more empowered because the Market Stall normalises their shopping experience. Some attend weekly whilst others only attend when they are in need of additional help. Most importantly, it is wonderful when a customer reports that they now have a job and so will be able to manage without this additional support. The customers are very appreciative of what BCK offers week by week.
